Aside from the atrocity that was the outfit the host donned the VMA’s were entertaining. They saved the “best” for last. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys did a nice job on “Empire State of Mind”. Although I’m not sure what the issue was with Lil’ Mama’s pop up stage interruption..I was slightly preoccupied with wondering if Alicia could actually walk in those towering shoes. She seemed to be playing it off a little. Leaning against the piano, barely moving, almost just swaying for the most part. Beyonce was in full support of her hubby singing along in the crowd- even if she didn’t really know the words. Leave your thoughts and comments below.

SOooo we all know the T-Pain said “F*ck Jay-Z” at a Las Vegas show and continued to call him and “Old Ass Rapper, and if anything should be dead it was him” I didn’t quite understand it, especially when Jay brought T-Pain out on stage the first time he ever did D.O.A. Finally after searching I got T-Pains reasoning for going at Jigga.
TPAIN:
This aint the first time I done said it. Nothing has changed. I called Jay and I said can you come out on my set [during Summer Jam] and do the D.O.A song, it’ll be a big look for me and you. I embrace the song, I love the song and don’t get me wrong Jay-z is the best in the game period. I would never say anything different. At that time he said “yo I’m triple booked, I’m in Switzerland right now, I can’t do it”. Then I’m ready to go on stage after Jeezy set and they said “hold on, Jay-z is about to come out with Jeezy” and I said ” Jay-z is in switzerland”. They say “no he’s not, he’s right there” and I look to the side and there’s Jay-z. So he gets on the stage and when he gets to the part where he says “I don’t need anyone smiling at this” he pointed at me and then at the end of the song when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around, gave the mic to someone and said “good riddance”.
In regards to Fabolous:
“ I mean if somebody had a problem with Akon and they start dissin him then Im goin back stage and figure whats up”.

Lets face it. Music leaks. In this day in age music seems to only be relevant the week it comes out. I found the album, if you wanna enjoy it early/free go ahead. If it inspires you & you love it, go buy it, pick it up on vinyl, go to his concert (yo Jay, when you coming back to Portland?). Full The Blueprint 3 available for download below. My song of the day is “Empire State Of Mind,” by Jay-Z featuring Miss Alicia Keys. The sample is “Love on a Two Way Street” by The Moments.
In 2001 (on September 11th) Jay-Z changed hip hop by dropping The Blueprint, 8 years later (again on September 11th) Jay will drop The Blueprint 3 as hip hop has changed around him. Listen to the album as he adapts to what’s hot but always stays Jay.
Enjoy,
